It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you decide to participate, we will ask you to sign a consent form which you can sign and return during the workshop session(s).

It is recommended that you attend at least 6-10 workshops per year or 15-20 for the whole two-year course. During the workshops, participants may need to bring something to inspire their art making (a photo for example). The workshops will involve developing art skills, thinking about experiences and well-being through art making and discussions. The sessions will run twice a month (every other week) for three hours. We will also be organising two exhibitions during the period which we would like participants to partake if they so wish. As a way of monitoring the programme, we ask participants to fill out evaluation forms after each workshop.

You can withdraw at any point, without having to give a reason (although we would want that you continue throughout the whole programme!). You do not  need to fill out questions in the evaluation form or questionnaire if they make you feel uncomfortable. If you wish to withdraw from the programme, your artworks and data will not be retained unless you are happy for us to do so for the purposes of the exhibition and reports we submit to the funder.

We will use the collected information and artworks for quarterly reports to the funder; and the artworks for two forthcoming exhibitions.

The records from this study will be kept confidential. All artworks made will be kept securely. Your data will be anonymised unless consent is given. All files (digital or otherwise) shall also be kept secure at all times by Kanlungan.
